Find A Consultant

Laurie McCaffrey, B.A., M.Sc. | McCaffrey Consulting

In my role as an evaluation consultant, I work collaboratively with clients to explore both the development and impact of human service programs. I apply a combination of social science research methods and a growing understanding of Indigenous approaches to storytelling and the importance of relationship, interconnectedness, land and language. Some of my research and evaluation interests include health promotion, population health, addictions, law enforcement, anti-oppressive and anti-racist practices (I’m still learning), reconciliation, healthy communities and healthy children, youth and families.

Some of the specific tasks I can help with include:

  • Evaluation planning and implementation. I can work with you to create an overall evaluation plan, as well as help to implement that plan.
  • Qualitative and quantitative data collection. I can help collect data and gather stories through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Analysis, report writing and presentations. I can help analyze and interpret what we hear, with permission and input from evaluation participants, to tell the story of the development and impact of your program. I can produce written reports for your board, funder, or community audience, and deliver verbal presentations about what we heard.

CES is a volunteer-run non-profit association dedicated to the advancement of evaluation theory and practice.
In the spirit of reconciliation, our chapter feels it is important to acknowledge the traditional lands on which we live, work and play. We are located on territories subject to Treaties 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11.  Included are the Métis Settlements, the Métis Nation of Alberta’s six Regions, and Northwest Territory Métis Nation’s South Slave region.
